Blue States Just Can’t Stop Taxing By Stephen Moore | The Epoch Times

California, New York, and Illinois all lost the most population last year. These states have nearly lost a combined 5 million people over the past decade. California and New York could both lose another three congressional seats by the end of the decade, and Illinois another two. Did I mention that these are the three states with the highest taxes?

ON THE OTHER HAND

"eight red states are cutting income taxes: Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Utah, and West Virginia. Oklahoma is set to cut rates this year to as low as 2 percent."

Since these tax cuts began in 2015, New Hampshire’s economic growth rate has powered ahead of its closely connected neighbor, Massachusetts."

How Socialist is Sweden? A guest post from Johan Norberg | Bet On It substack

Indeed, on other indicators than taxes and spending, Sweden is on average slightly more capitalist than the US. If Scott Sehon wants to imitate Sweden, he would have to liberalize several markets, reform social security and introduce private accounts, introduce school vouchers, get rid of most occupational licensing, introduce budget rules that demand a surplus over a business cycle, abolish inheritance and property taxes, and actually reduce corporate taxes a bit.

Europe Is Burning | Zero Hedge

"The real problem is civilizational. Europeans are unwilling to preserve their industrial base and control their borders, leaving the continent increasingly weak and largely defenseless. The leaderless American empire may be creaking, but Europe is in worse shape, hemmed in by dismal demographics, high taxes, suffocating regulation, and an entrenched bureaucracy that makes California seem like a libertarian paradise."
