It is perhaps an inaccurate stereotype, but it is hardly racist like a Chinese official's unsolicited comment that its quality that counts, referring to India's population surpassing China's. In fact, there IS a technology gap between India and China and Indian's reflex outrage isn't going to change it. Just as an example, China has two entries in the world's top 10 fastest computers (top500.org), India (and Germany) none. And comparing India's railway system favorably with Germany's is besides the point as the cartoon was comparing China and India. And anyway, complaining about the German railway system is a national pastime among Germans, most of whom acknowledge it is not longer a top=notch system. Palki Sharma might have done better focusing on India's vibrant free press, though that's under attack now. I for one prefer Indian news sources to Chinese (and usually to American) any day. How many non-Chinese speakers follow China Daily?
